ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess) — A shooting at a rap concert in downtown Atlanta left two people dead and two others injured.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, gunfire erupted at The Masquerade at Underground Atlanta on Sunday night after two people climbed up on stage.

Atlanta police officer Lisa Bender told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the incident occurred after two of the victims climbed on stage during an intermission, sparking an argument with another member of the audience.

“Another patron took issue and an argument ensued,” Bender told the AJC.

The patron then allegedly produced a gun and shot the two people on stage and fired several other shots, which is likely when the other two victims were injured.

“The suspected shooter, still armed, was witnessed by unarmed security but was not successfully detained,” Bender said.

One of the victims died on the scene and a second was pronounced dead with gunshot wounds to the upper and lower torso, the AJC said. The other victims received minor wounds and are expected to recover.

Frailan Ynoa told Channel 2 Action News that his 21-year-old brother Ewell Ynoa and 22-year-old friend Giovanni Diaz, a friend of Ewell’s were killed.

Rapper Cousin Stizz, the headlining act for the concert, expressed his grief at the turn of events.

“I’m in shock and at a loss of words for the senseless violence,” he wrote in a post to his social media. “My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families.”
