BERLIN (CelebrityAccess) — English rock band Status Quo have canceled a series of shows in Germany after one of the band’s founding members Francis Rossi became ill.

In a series of posts to their social media, the band reported Rossi’s illness and announced the cancellation of Monday night’s show at Friedrichstadtpalast in Berlin, followed by Tuesday and Wednesday night’s performances at Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt and the Festspielhaus in Baden Baden respectively.

A statement released on the 68-year-old Rossi’s health said: “Francis has a chest infection which has left him incapacitated and unable to sing.

“He is currently receiving medical attention in Germany and had hoped that he would be able to recover enough to perform at these shows, but unfortunately that has not been the case.”

At the time of publication Status Quo’s next scheduled gig is set for Dec. 15th at the Liederhalle, Beethoven-Saal in Stuttgart.
