SAN DIEGO, CA (CelebrityAccess) — Willie Nelson has pulled out of a handful of upcoming concerts after ending a concert early due to an apparent touch of the flu.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Red-Headed Stranger was performing at Harrah’s Resort SoCal in San Diego on Saturday when he ended his performance in the midst of the show’s opener, “Whiskey River.” Fans reported to the newspaper that Nelson was coughing and apparently experiencing trouble breathing when he left the stage.
A publicist for Nelson told CelebrityAccess that country music legend was suffering from “a bad cold or the flu.”
As a result, several upcoming shows were canceled, including two performances at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas; a gig at The Graton Resort in Rohnert Park, California; and a concert at the Edgewater Center in Laughlin, Nevada.
Nelson is next due to take the stage in February for a series of shows starting on February 7th at the Macon City Auditorium in Macon, Georgia.
