LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) Las Vegas is preparing for the launch of its first eSports arena, which is set to open its doors March 22.
Esports Arena Las Vegas inside the Luxor Hotel and Casino is expected to launch that Thursday with a series of events, including an invitation-only, multi-day live-streamed tournament, according to an announcement.
“Esports Arena Las Vegas is the cornerstone of our property, brand and content development and will allow us to engage esports communities, brands and stakeholders like never before,” Hannigan, CEO of Allied Esports, said in a statement. “With Las Vegas rapidly becoming a hub for esports, Esports Arena Las Vegas at Luxor will be the city’s home for competitive gaming and interactive entertainment.”
Allied Esports and Esports Arena partnered with Luxor to re-purpose a former nightclub space into a multilevel arena. The venue will include a competition stage, LED video wall, telescopic seating, daily gaming stations, and state-of-the art streaming and television-quality production studios, according to a statement.
Allied Esports and Esports Arena simultaneously announced a mobile version of the arena – the Esports Arena Drive – a semi-trailer that unfolds at a push of a button revealing a competitive stage with full production facilities and even a VIP lounge.
