Marilyn Manson Leaves The Crowd Wanting More At The Paramount

HUNTNGTON, NY (CelebrityAccess) — A concert by goth rock icon Marilyn Manson at The Paramount in Huntington, New York on Thursday left fans wanting more. But not in a good way.

Video of the concert show fans chanting for a refund after a short, and lackluster performance by Manson and company.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, was originally slated to perform at The Paramount on Oct. 3, 2017, but was forced to postpone the show after he was seriously injured in an on-stage accident at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Sept. 30th. In the accident, Manson was pinned when large stage prop toppled over on him during his performance, leaving him hospitalized with a broken leg.

For his Paramount makeup date, Manson arrived on stage in a cast and riding in a wheelchair, making his medical condition a part of the act. However, after performing a few songs, he began to speak to the crowd, suggesting that they show him more love if he was to continue performing.

Manson’s bandmates seemed perplexed by the experience as well, starting and stopping songs several times and playing gamely after Manson disappeared from stage.

“Maybe he needed some hugs or TLC, but this is New York and he’s not going to get that here,” said Claudio Alvarez, who attended the concert told Newsday. “He’s a professional who has got to do what he’s got to do. I love the guy, but this was too much.”

“He was too messed up and couldn’t perform,” said Victoria Kaufmann, 21, of Farmingdale added. “It was disappointing.”

Manson is currently on the road in support of his latest album “Heaven Upside Down.”
