BUENOS, AIRES, Argentina (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers on Sunday announced that the final day of the three-day Lollapalooza Argentina festival would be canceled after the region was plagued with dangerous weather conditions.
“Due to severe overnight weather containing heavy storms, lightning and winds that are expected to continue, it has been decided in compliance with governmental authorities instructions to cancel the third day of Lollapalooza Argentina,” organizers announced on Sunday via the festival’s social media.
Held at the Hipódromo de San Isidro in Buenos Aires, the festival was to have featured a Sunday lineup with headliners that included include Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem, The National, David Byrne, and Kygo. Refunds would be made to ticket holders, festival organizers said.
Inclement weather wasn’t the only headache over the weekend for festival organizers. Liam Gallagher, who was headlining at the festival on Saturday night, was forced to cut his set early after he blew out his voice.
“My voice is absolutely smashed,” Gallagher tells the crowd in a video captured of the moment. “I’d love to stand here all night and scream it out for you, but its sounding fucking horrific,” he added.
