DENVER (CelebrityAccess) AEG Presents Rocky Mountain has announced a new Denver venue, the 3,950-capacity Mission Ballroom to open next summer.
The 60,000-square-foot ballroom will be the anchor for North Wynkoop, a 14-acre, three-block mixed-use development, according to a statement. The project will be in the space between 40th and 43rd streets down Brighton Boulevard.
The Denver Post first reported the development in 2016 and the development has been in the works for the past three years according to a promotional video by Westfield partner Kevin McClintock.
The Mission Ballroom will have riser seating that sweeps across the back and upper levels of the venue, inspired by Red Rocks Amphitheatre, according to a promotional video.
“Our entire AEG Presents Rocky Mountain team spent the last 11 years searching for the perfect location and the right design to build one of the finest venues this town has ever seen,” Chuck Morris, CEO of AEG Presents Rocky Mountains, said in a press release. “The Mission will bring Colorado the most cutting-edge concert experience in the world.”
The venue is scalable with a capacity between 2,200 and 3,950.
Live Nation recently announced it had struck an exclusive lease for Denver’s Summit Music Hall and Marquis Theatre from Soda Jerk Presents.
