SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) Eventbrite has acquired Ticketea, a leading Spanish ticketing provider.
Eventbrite says in a statement that the purchase will further the momentum it has seen since acquiring Ticketscript in January 2017 and solidify itself as a midmarket leader and self-service ticketing solution in Europe. Ticketea handles tickets for the usual platforms: festivals, concerts, performing arts shows and other events.

The purchase means that Ticketea will bring to Eventbrite’s roster festivals like Arenal Sound, Vina Rock, Low Festival and Dreambeach. Eventbrite already handles events like Newport Folk Festival, Pitchfork Music Festival, Vrienden van Amstel Live, Tomorrowland Spain, Sonus Festival, BigCityBeats, and Rainbow Serpent.
Ticketea will also help sell tickets for events and brands like The Billy Elliot Musical, Cirque du Soleil, and Museo Nacional del Prado.
