LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Variety is reporting that veteran talent manager Phil McIntyre has been tapped for the newly-created position of President of Management at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
The appointment was announced by Roc Nation CEO and co-founder Jay Brown. While the position was newly-created, McIntyre has been collaborating with Roc Nation since 2015, Variety reported.
Per Variety, McIntyre will be responsible for working with Roc Nation’s managers to “deliver strategic opportunities and value for the Roc Nation roster,” according to a press release.
McIntyre comes to Roc Nation from his own management and entertainment company Philymack, where he represents a roster that includes Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas/DNCE and Iggy Azalea.
Philymack will continue to operate in its own offices. “We understand our strong-suits and what we’re really great at,” McIntyre told Variety. “We’re ready to grow.”
