La Tocada Music Set For Los Angeles Return In August

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation announced that the 5th anniversary of the La Tocada Music festival will see the event return to downtown Los Angeles in 2018.

Set for the Los Angeles Historic State Park on August 4, the festival will feature two stages of music, with a lineup that includes Café Tacvba, Panteón Rococó, Mon Laferte, Jesse & Joy, Molotov, Porter, Little Jesus, Caloncho and Camilo Séptimo

Produced by a collaboration between Live Nation and Frías Entertainment, La Tocada will be the first Latin music festival to avail itself of the state park since it re-opened following extensive renovations.

The festival will also feature artwork from regional and local artists and a wide variety of specialty food (a full list of food vendors will be announced via La Tocada social pages soon).

A ring for lucha libre (Mexican-style wrestling) has always been a hallmark of the festival and this year will not be the exception; organizers promise that the luchadores will be the most recognized performers to date.

“We were fortunate to have co-promoted the first La Tocada concert, with Frías, at the Universal Amphitheatre in Universal City and [it] has grown to a successful outdoor festival of multicultural and enthusiastic rock fans,” said Emily Simonitsch, Sr. Vice President of Talent for Live Nation. “To welcome this festival’s return to the heart of downtown Los Angeles is a tribute to the popularity of these artists and their musical interpretation.”
