BELFAST, Ireland (CelebrityAccess) — Belfast-based alt-rock outfit Snow Patrol announced that they will be hitting the road next winter for a tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The “Wildness Tour” kicks off on December 5th at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, and winds down on January 31st at SSE Hydro in sunny Glasgow. Other dates include London’s O2 Arena on Jan. 26th, Belfast’s SSE Arena on December 7th and 3Arena in Dublin on Dec. 11.

Snow Patrol is supporting their most recent album “Wildness” which was released last week via Polydor. “Wildness” marks the band’s first studio album since 2011’s “Fallen Empires,” which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and has sales to date of 370,426. It became the band’s highest debut on the Billboard chart and the second album to reach the top-ten.

The band’s UK tour will be the cap to a busy year. They have some key festival plays lined up for this summer, including Rock Werchter in Belgium, Mad Cool in Spain, Rock Im Park in Germany and NOS Alive in Spain.

Then, they are off to the States to support Ed Sheeran on his North American stadium tour, before returning to the UK for their own tour.

As well, the band last month debuted the video for their single “Life On Earth” which was filmed at the European Space Agency in Holland and debuted via astronaut Tim Peake’s Twitter account.
