NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Spotify has announced that Dawn Ostroff has been named as the streaming giant’s new Chief Content Officer.
Ostroff will be based in the company’s New York offices and have oversight of Spotify’s content partnerships across music, audio and video.
Ostroff joins the Spotify team from publishing giant Condé Nast, where she led the company’s entertainment division since 2011. Prior to Condé Nast, she was president of cable television network The CW, transitioning over to the network from UPN when it was rebranded in 2006.
While at The CW/UPN, she oversaw the launch of shows such as “America’s Top Model” and “Vampire Diaries”
Ostroff will assume her new role at Spotify in August and replaces Stefan Blom, who exited the streaming service earlier this year, before its public listing.
