LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Alt-rock icons The Smashing Pumpkins performed at an intimate warm-up gig at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. The show marked the first full public performance together for band members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin in almost two decades.

The band covered material from across their history, ranging from “Siva” and “Rhinoceros” off of their 1991 debut album Gish, up to their current single “Solara” off of their forthcoming album.

The Pumpkins also brought out A Fire Inside’s frontman Dave Havok to join them for a rendition of Joy Division’s “Transmission” as part of the show’s encore.

The show was likely a bit of a surprise for the band’s fans as the 400-capacity Troubadour was announced just 24 hours prior to the show. Wristbands for the affair were sold at Amoeba Records for just $19.79 – seemingly a callout to the Pumpkins’ hit of the same name.

If you missed the show, their “Shiny and Oh So Bright” kicks off in just a couple of weeks at Gila River Arena in Glendale, AZ on July 12th.
