PARIS, France (CelebrityAccess) — Two French rappers were arrested after an alleged brawl broke out between them and their entourage at a Paris Airport.
According to the BBC, the two rival rappers Booba and Kaaris were arrested along with members of their entourage after a melee broke out in the departure lounge at Orly airport on Wednesday.
Video of the incident appears to show the two men exchanging punches in first in a duty-free shop in the terminal, and then out into the terminal amid dozens of other travelers.
The altercation resulted in the terminal being shut down for security purposes. “A small number of flights were delayed by 15 to 30 minutes at the time of the fight and the hall was temporarily closed,” a spokesperson for the airport told AFP news agency.
Booba, whose real name is Élie Yaffa, is one of the most successful rappers in Paris. He has previously collaborated with Kaaris, whose real name is Okou Armand Gnakouri. Kaaris makes up one half of the production duo Therapy.
The two rappers had been on their way to a concert in Barcelona, according to French media. It’s not clear what sparked the melee.
