SAN FRANCISCO, (CelebrityAccess) — Cannabis-themed event producer Highland Events announced that they are partnering with the Outside Lands Music Festival to stage a cannabis-friendly area at the fest this year.

Named “Grass Lands,” the cannabis experience at the Outside Lands festival will feature information, experiences, shopping opportunities as well as food and beverages. While no THC or CBD products will be available for sale at the festival despite its recreational legality in California, Grass Lands will provide educational opportunities to festival visitors, and festival-goers will be able to order cannabis products on site for home delivery.

The Grass Lands experience will showcase a variety of cannabis companies including: Cookies, Flow Kana, Ona.Life, Kiva Confections, CannaCraft, Pax Labs, Lemonnade, True Terpenes, Mesh Brands, Emerald Exchange, Jetty Extracts, Barbary Coast, and Sunday Goods.

Salwa Ibrahim, COO of Highland Events, said that her team has been working with the founders of Outside Lands for months to bring all the elements together.

“Outside Lands is the pinnacle of music festivals, and we’re thrilled to create this partnership at such a crucial inflection point in the cannabis industry,” Ibrahim said. “The event committee has been instrumental in making this activation a reality, and we’re excited to expand the program in the years to come.”

Outside Lands is the world’s leading gourmet music festival. Taking place August 10th – 12th in San Francisco’s historic Golden Gate Park, the festival will feature music performances by Janet Jackson, Florence + The Machine, Beck, Carly Rae Jepsen, The Weeknd, Odesza, Future, DJ Snake and many more.

The festival will also feature discussions with Gavin Newsom, Mickey Hart, and Bill Nye, as well as comedy from Michelle Wolf, Chelsea Peretti, and many others.
