(CelebrityAccess) – Mastodon and Dinosaur Jr. have canceled their upcoming joint North American tour, which was due to kick off on Saturday (Sept. 1) in Edmonton, Alberta.
A since-deleted post on Mastodon’s Facebook page confirmed the cancellation saying it was due to a “critical situation” involving a member of the Mastodon family. The band also extended their thanks to fans for their support and understanding, adding “no plans for rescheduling have been set.”
Dinosaur Jr. later addressed the cancelation via their Twitter page stating that their team was working quickly to see if they could schedule new shows in some of the affected markets.
All tickets for the joint Mastodon and Dinosaur Jr. tour will be refunded at the point of purchase. See the affected dates below.
