(CelebrityAccess) — Thrash metal legends Slayer revealed that they are extending what has been billed as their farewell tour into 2019.

Buoyed by the response of their just-completed North American run, Slayer announced plans to extend the tour through the end of 2019 with a fistful of dates in the U.K. and Europe.

“I just want to take the time out to say thank you to all our fans who have made this first part of this tour phenomenal,” says bassist/vocalist Tom Araya a press statement. “You really are loyal and dedicated fans and we appreciate that so much from you.

“We still have quite a few places to play,” he adds, “so next year, keep your eyes and ears open so you can catch us live one last and final time,” Araya added.
