LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Blink-182 has canceled its upcoming tour as drummer Travis Barker continues to recover from a medical condition.

Barker has been in and out of the hospital since June after blood clots were found in his arms.

“It is with a heavy heart to report that blink must cancel its fall mini-tour which was set to kick off September 8th on their way to headline Riot Fest in Chicago,” the band said in a statement. “Medical issues have sidelined Travis per doctors’ orders. Trav’s medical team anticipated that he would be well enough by fall to tour but after recent checkups, they were not able to clear him in time for the scheduled run of dates.”

The tour was expected to kick off with Chicago’s Riot Fest tomorrow night. The band expressed its disappointment that it won’t be playing Riot Fest but said it would return next year as a festival headliner. In June, it postponed its residence at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas because of Barker’s condition.

“I am doing everything I need to do so I can get back on the road as soon as possible,” Barker said in a statement, thanking “my fans, family, friends, and bandmates for all the love and support.”
