LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – UMG’s acclaimed dance label Astralwerks announced this week that it will be relaunching with a dynamic new team, logo, office, and a whole slew of new signings.

After launching back in 1993, the label built its reputation on the strength of artists such as Kraftwerk, The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim and others. Now its aim will be to reposition itself at the heart of the electronic music community once again.

Inaugural signings include both future-bass star Illenium and iconic Swedish duo Axwell & Ingrosso.

New hires include Luke Armitage, Nick Sung and Catherine Corkery, who will help lead the marketing department and whose previous campaigns have included Jax Jones, Tiesto, GTA, REZZ, Whethan and Rudimental. Nicole Lee, who has experience running campaigns for The Chainsmokers and Diplo, will lead strategy. Jeremy Vuernick, Senior Vice President of A&R at Capitol Music Group, will head the label’s A&R department with help from Ryan Murphy (CMG), Natalie Dodge (Big Beat), Sergio Vega (William Morris Endeavor). Joe Mortimer (Kygo, Snakehips) has been named Creative Director, and Jin Ju Lee (TMWRK) joins as administrative assistant. Toby Andrews remains GM.

Going forward Astralwerks will be housed in Los Angeles’ famed Capitol Tower. The label will also be launching a brick and mortar record store before the end of 2018.
