SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) Ticketing company Vendini has announced it has acquired Boxxo, Quebec’s leading ticketing software company.
Boxxo, which works mostly in the arts organizations space, has sold tickets for more than 15 years and currently serves theaters, cultural, sports and leisure organizations in Quebec. Vendini said in the announcement the purchase expands its customer base and international presence.
“Today we’re welcoming a team of people who share the same passion for live events as we do,” said Mark Tacchi, Vendini’s Founder and CEO. “Boxxo brings tremendous love and experience needed for the French Canadian market. Together, Boxxo and Vendini are honored to now be the largest ticketing solution serving Quebec.”
Vendini’s recent purchases include InTicketing, CrowdTorch, and Dataflow.
“Vendini has had a strong presence in Canada for many years, and we were looking for a partner in the market that would help us more quickly address our customers’ interest in moving to a cloud environment,” said Boxxo founder and president, Bernard Boissonneault. “The opportunity to deliver a key customer need and extend our market across Canada, with a like-minded company like Vendini was our ideal solution.”
The Boxxo team will join Vendini and continue to service Boxxo’s customers, according to the announcement.
