In his new role, he will have oversite of the company’s A&R operation and will look for both new recording and publishing deals for the company.

“I am proud to announce Mark’s promotion to the position of Vice President of A&R and Artist Development. Mark joined Position Music seven years ago and has become an integral part of our team on every level. He is a critical thinker and creative visionary who has an uncanny ability to create something from nothing. In the past seven years Position Music has grown by 500% and Mark Chipello has played a key role in that growth. I trust that he will help lead the charge into more incredible signings and artist development moving forward,” Position founder, CEO and President Tyler Bacon said, announcing the promotion.

It’s a joy to work with our talented writers, producers, bands and managers every day to create music that changes peoples’ lives. When I signed Welshly Arms a few years ago, they had only played one show at a little bar in Cleveland. Now they have platinum single, “Legendary,” with over 100 million Spotify streams and are playing in front of thousands of people all around the world every night. Helping to build real careers like this is truly a thrill and the reason that I love Monday mornings,” Chipello said in announcing his new role at Position.
