ORLANDO, FL (CelebrityAccess) — A man convicted of stalking singer Lana Del Ray has been sentenced to a year in prison.

According to NBC affiliate WESH, Michael Shawn Hunt, 43, of Riverview in Hillsborough County, pleaded no contest to a stalking charge as a part of a plea agreement.

Charges of aggravated stalking and a weapons charge were dropped as a part of the plea agreement, WESH reported.

Hunt was arrested in February near the Amway Center on the night of a scheduled performance by Del Ray. When police detained him, he had two concert tickets and a knife on his person.

Hunt had previously posted a series of cryptic and threatening posts regarding Del Ray on social media.

During Hunt’s trial, Prosecutor Kelly Hicks read portions of some of the posts in court.

In the posts, Hunt seems to envision a relationship with Del Ray, writing: “Our queen forever in both worlds I love you so much Lana I can’t wait to be back in your arms in a few days, baby I hear you singing, I miss you baby, I miss you so much, Lana.”

In another post, Hunt wrote: “Lana and I will be together, I will likely be going on the rest of her tour with her.”

Hunt previously had numerous run-ins with the law, and according to his arrest report, he had 61 felony convictions ranging from drugs to violent crimes.
