LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Primary Wave Music Publishing has acquired Aerosmith bassist and songwriter Tom Hamilton’s publishing for an undisclosed sum.

Hamilton has co-written some of the band’s biggest hits including “Sweet Emotion,” “Janie’s Got A Gun,” “Dude,” “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing,” “Walk This Way” and “Dream On” among countless others, while Primary Wave currently counts the likes of Bob Marley and Glenn Gould among its catalogs.

Commenting on the company’s latest deal, Adam Lowenberg, CMO, Primary Wave Music Publishing, said in a statement: “We are thrilled to begin this partnership with the legendary Tom Hamilton. We couldn’t be prouder and more excited to have him join the Primary Wave family.”

Hamilton’s manager and attorney Jeremy Rosen added: “It seems like just yesterday when [Primary Wave founder] Larry Mestel shared his vision for Primary Wave; a marketing company in publisher’s clothing. Twelve years later, I am honored to facilitate a partnership with the legendary Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith, whose songs have helped shape the soundtrack of our lives for nearly 50 years.”

Since forming in 1971, Aerosmith has sold more than 150 million records worldwide.
