(CelebrityAccess) – Veteran music executive Jason Bernard is departing from Pulse Music Group to strike out on his own in a new entertainment venture.

Bernard previously served as COO and head of Pulse Music’s management division.

Commenting on the news, Bernard said in a statement: “I’m beyond proud of what we’ve accomplished as a team at Pulse, and truly appreciative of the time spent with colleagues and partners whom I deeply respect.” Getting to witness what this company has become from inception is an experience that I don’t take for granted. I’m excited to continue representing the caliber of creatives I’ve been fortunate enough to work with, while having the opportunity to develop new partnerships and ventures throughout the industry.”

Pulse Music Group was founded in 2007 by record producer Josh Abraham and songwriters Scott Cutler and Anne Preven. The company deals in music publishing, management and music services.

Going forward Bernard will represent several of his current songwriter/producer and mixer management clients, including Tim Pagnotta, Tommy English, and Grammy-winning mixers Tony Maserati and Adam Hawkins.

He will remain a shareholder in Pulse’s publishing division and will stay on with the company through the end of the year.
