NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has reportedly been released from the hospital.
According to TMZ, a source close to Perry said the rocker had been discharged from medical care on Thursday night and was not at home, resting comfortably.
Perry was hospitalized on Saturday after he reportedly collapsed backstage following a guest performance of Aerosmith’s hit “Walk This Way” with Billy Joel at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Per media reports, paramedics treated Perry on-scene for approximately 40 minutes before transporting him to a hospital for more advanced care.
A source close to Perry said doctors ran a series of tests and determined that Perry was brought low by a combination of allergies and fatigue, TMZ reported.
Perry is slated to perform a series of solo shows, and performances with Brad Whitford and Gary Cherone, starting on Dec. 2nd at the Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac. Aerosmith is lined up to perform at the Super Bowl LII Music Festival in February and the band is lined up for a residency in Las Vegas, starting in April.
