NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) Joe Perry has canceled all of his dates for his upcoming tour follwing his recent hospital visit.
“While doctors have released Perry from care, with the dates set to begin November 30 and going through December 16, the Aerosmith guitarist will now take the rest of the year off,” a statement from Perry’s publicist, the Mitch Schneider Organization, says.
“Perry again would like to apologize to the fans who were planning on coming to the shows and looks forwqard to seeing them again in 2019. Refunds are available at point of purchase.”
Perry collapsed after a performance at Madison Square Garden in New York Nov. 10. The guitarist had just performed “Walk This Way” during a Billy Joel show. Paramedics worked on the 68-year-old Perry in his dressing room for about 40 minutes and gave him oxygen and used a tracheal tube to clear his airway before rushing him to a hospital.
Perry reportedly had been experiencing breathing issues for weeks stemming from congestion in his lungs. He was released from the hospital a few days after the event.
