NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Industry veteran Jock Weaver is the latest music business figure to join the executive team at live music streaming service VNUE.

Weaver, who currently serves as Chairman of Heritage Trust Company, joins VNUE’s board in a Special Advisory role to Zach Bair, VNUE’s CEO and Chairman. He will provide counseling on business strategy and growth, as well as assisting with VNUE’s acquisitions in the live recording business, the company said.

“I am very excited to be working with VNUE and Zach Bair. Heritage Trust likes to be involved in companies where we not only may participate in equity ownership, but also where my own industry knowledge and experience can accelerate the organization’s growth and development. Zach and VNUE fit this profile. They are a first in class in the Live Recording Sector, and own very valuable Music Recognition Technology in the Royalty Rights Sector.”

Weaver’s previous experience includes stints as president of the Hard Rock Café International restaurant and performance space chain.

Weaver also founded Nashville-based TBA Entertainment Corporation, at the time one of the nation’s largest live entertainment companies, which eventually sold to a group controlled by artist manager and former Ticketmaster CEO, Irving Azoff.

TBA operated large amphitheaters in the U.S., produced over 1000 events yearly, and specialized in entertainment marketing, artist management, and event merchandising.
