SWITZERLAND (CelebrityAccess) Switzerland’s leading ticketing company, Ticketcorner, has announced it is launching the FanSALE resale platform.
“With the launching of the fanSALE online ticket exchange Ticketcorner is now establishing a legitimate platform for the fair and secure resale of tickets,” the company said in a statement. “Anybody who is unable to attend an event or looking for a ticket to an already sold-out show may buy or sell tickets at fansale.ch starting in the spring of 2019.”
Commercially organized dealers and the resale of tickets “at exorbitant prices” are excluded, according to the statement, with all available tickets are sold at no more than the original price.
FanSALE has been active in Germany, home of Eventim, for a long time and launched in the UK in January, according to IQ. The Swiss site will be located at fansale.ch, which currently redirects to the German equivalent.
“Our new platform, fanSALE, has no commercial purpose,” Andreas Angehrn, CEO of Ticketcorner, told IQ. “The reason we’re doing this is to stop the dishonest practices of the secondary market, to guarantee the authenticity of the tickets to our customers and make sure they get a fair deal.
“In the coming years, we intend to establish fanSALE as the leading, and also the fairest, secondary market ticketing platform in Switzerland.”
