CALIFORNIA (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for the California-based Lightning In A Bottle festival announced that the festival was changing dates and was in the final stages of securing a new venue for the 2019 edition of the event.
Lightning In A Bottle is now scheduled to take place from May 8th – May 13th, two weeks earlier than the event was previously planned for.
Organizers also announced that a ticket presale had been postponed with the rescheduled dates still to be announced.
The festival’s venue is also moving but organizers declined to announce the new location, noting that “w2e are in the final stages of securing our new venue and expect to be finished in the next 2-3 weeks.”
“We’re optimistic for a great outcome, but we still need the support and trust of you all, our powerful and positive LIB community. Please take a moment to help us visualize a beautiful LIB this May. Imagine yourself with your friends, families and lovers, surrounded by music and art, making that LIB magic together,” organizers for the festival said.
The festival began in 2000 as a private birthday party but expanded to a music and arts festival open to the public in 2004. The festival seeks to promote sustainability, social cohesion, personal health, and creative expression and in addition to music, it features also features guest speakers, visual and interactive art installations, yoga classes, group meditation, and other attractions.
The lineup for 2018 features Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals, Griz, The Glitch Mob, Sofi Tukker, Fever Ray, Tune-Yards, Modeselektor, Beats Antique, and numerous others.
