LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) The live performance film “Joni 75: A Birthday Celebration” is expected to hit movie theatres nationwide for one night only Feb. 7.
The film covers two nights of performances at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles last November, celebrating Mitchell’s 75th birthday and features performers like Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, Rufus Wainwright and two of Mitchell’s former lovers, James Taylor and Graham Nash. Other performers include Seal, Norah Jones Chaka Khan and Brandi Carlile.
Mitchell stopped performing in 2015 after a disabling brain aneurysm but was in the audience for the concerts. It airs at the Rafael Film Center in San Rafael Feb. 7 and 13 with a third date, Feb. 12, just added because both showings sold out.
