NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Downtown Music Publishing announced the expansion of their global finance team with a fistful of new promotions and hires.
On Thursday, the company announced the promotion of Dan Bettes to Vice President, Finance and Eugenia Beltran to Director, US Accounting Operations and Treasury, as well as the appointment of two new hires: Rebecca Davies Cooke as International Accounting Manager and Dan Bechhofer as Senior Accountant.
Bettes joined Downtown in 2017 as Controller and developed a global accounting and treasury management system for the music publisher. His new role at Downtown will give him oversight of all accounting and financial reporting, treasury, and FP&A infrastructure across the company’s business units globally, as well as strategic initiatives in corporate finance and M&A.
In her newly appointed position, Beltran will be based in New York and oversee Downtown’s treasury and core accounting operations across all the publisher’s U.S. businesses. She’s been with the company since 2013, after joining as an account manager.
Rebecca Davies Cooke has been hired to oversee Downtown’s international financial operations from their London offices. Her previous accounting experience includes stints with major firms such as KPMG and Grant Thornton and she is both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser in the UK.
Bechhofer will join Bettes’ team in New York and will assist in financial reporting and serve as a liaison with external auditors. Prior to Downtown, Bechhofer worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate in the firm’s assurance and advisory practices. His role included investigatory work on behalf of songwriters, which was used in the most recent Copyright Royalty Board proceedings.
