NEW ORLEANS (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Thursday announced that veteran rockers Fleetwood Mac would take the place of the Rolling Stones at the 50th anniversary of the festival.
Fleetwood Mac are scheduled to close out the main stage at Jazz Fest on Thursday, May 2nd.
The Stones had been booked to perform at the festival as part of the North American segment of their No Filter tour but were forced to postpone the tour while the band’s frontman Mick Jagger sought medical treatment.
Tickets to see Fleetwood Mac as well as the other performers scheduled to perform at the festival that day will cost $75 through April 19.
Festival organizers say people who bought the higher-priced tickets to see the Stones will get refunds at the point of purchase.
Fleetwood Mac, sans longtime member Lindsey Buckingham, who was unceremoniously ejected from the group last year, are on the road with their ‘Fleetwood Mac In Concert’ tour.
