A Record-Setting August At The Greek Theatre


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — August proved to be a busy month for the Greek Theatre and the venue saw its busiest month in more than a decade, hosting more shows in August than The Staples Center, The Nokia Theatre, The Forum and The Hollywood Palladium combined.

In all, The Greek staged a record-breaking 22 shows in August, seven of them standing room only events, including shows by Chicago / REO Speedwagon, Sara Bareilles, ZZ Top / Jeff Beck, Counting Crows, John Legend, and two shows by Jack Johnson.

Total gross revenue for The Greek in August topped $5 million with more than 102,720 music fans making the scene. The Greek is booked and operated by Nederlander Concerts.
