AC/DC Set To Close Tour In New Zealand, Sans Phil Rudd

AUCKLAND (CelebrityAccess) — AC/DC have announced that they will close out their "Rock Or Bust" tour with a pair of dates in New Zealand and confirmed that drummer Phil Rudd will not be joining them. The band is set to perform on Dec. 12 at Westpac Stadium in Wellington, and then on Dec. 15 at Auckland's Western Springs.

Rudd plead guilty earlier this year to charges of drug possession and one count of threatening to kill. He now faces as much as seven years in prison.

Tour manager Garry Van Egmond told the Bay Of Plenty Times that AC/DC has been touring touring with former drummer Chris Slade, and that he will play at the shows.

"Chris Slade will be on drums," Van Egmond told the paper. "He replaced Phil when he left the band some years back, and he has been playing in the Rock or Bust tour worldwide." – Staff Writers
