NEW ORLEANS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Adam Shipley has been named Director of Preservation Hall in New Orleans, by Ben Jaffe, Creative Director of Preservation Hall.
In addition to overseeing day-to-day at the Hall, Shipley's portfolio will also include curating shows, special events and nightly operations. He will also collaborate with Creative Director Ben Jaffe on developing Preservation Hall's recordings and films.
No stranger to the New Orleans music scene, Shipley spent almost a decade at Tipitina's, where he held the positions of Talentbuyer and General Manager, as well as serving as the Music Director of the Tipitina's.
Shipley will maintain Hep Cat Enterprises, his music and talent buying consultation firm and he will continue to manage Marva Wright.
