LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Adele signed with XL Recordings at the tender age of 19 and her first album, "19" came out earlier this year and went straight to #1 on the UK charts, certified platinum.
With influences ranging from Etta James, Carole King, Ella, Flack, Cyndi Lauper, Alicia Keys, The Cranberries, Amy Winehouse, Jamie T, Suzanne Vega, Destiny's Child and The Cure, Adele has been getting some favorable recognition, picking up a Brit Award and a Mercury Prize as well as a Q Prize Nom to name a few.
She begins her tour on November 11. This tour could not have begun at a more opportune moment. Adele hit number one on iTunes after her performance on SNL on October 18 which earned the show their highest ratings in 10 years.
