Adele, The Weeknd Top Streaming List For 2016


(CelebrityAccess) — Adele and The Weeknd topped the list of the most streamed tracks this year, according to the year-end charts of most-streamed artists, tracks and breakout artists of 2016 released by SoundExchange.

Adele's "Hello" earned the number one ranking as the most-streamed track during the 12-month period ending September 30, 2016, according to the figures compiled by SoundExchange.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd, bested his inspiration Drake, scoring not one but three tracks in the top 20 streamed tracks of 2016, with "The Hills" (#4), "Earned It" (#17), and "Can't Feel My Face" (#20).

Drake did make the top 20 though, with his hit "Hotline Bling" coming in at number 10 on the list.

Other notable mentions include Shawn Mendes, who scored #3 with his hit "Stiches" and Twenty One Pilots, who landed at #5 with "Stressed Out." – Staff Writers
