NEW YORK, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Debra Rathwell, senior vice president at AEG LIVE has announced the appointments of Sam Kinken and Jon Hampton as Senior Talent Buyers in AEG’s New York office.

In their new roles, Mr. Kinken and Mr. Hampton will help book and manage for AEG. Mr. Kinken, who brings extensive experience and relationships with clients in music and comedy, will focus on the New York tri-state area, Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Mr. Kinken will report to Ms. Rathwell and Mr. Hampton will report to Ms. Rathwell and to Mark Shulman, vice president, talent, Northeast, AEG LIVE.

"AEG LIVE’s New York office has grown in leaps and bounds since we opened in 2003. The workload has quadrupled. Both Sam and Jon will be great additions to our New York operations," Ms. Rathwell said.

Prior to joining AEG LIVE, Mr. Kinken worked at Live Nation and all its incarnations back to the original DelsenerSlater Enterprises. Hired by Mitch Slater in Sept. 1997 to focus on Irving Plaza and comedy, he ultimately worked with multiple venues in the NYC area and was responsible for nearly all the contemporary public concerts at The Town Hall, Central Park Summerstage, and developed and produced most of the McCarren Pool concerts in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. In addition, he has experience in all major and medium-sized New York venues including Madison Square Garden (the arena and theater), Radio City Music Hall, The Beacon, The Apollo and Carnegie Hall.

Before joining AEG Live, Mr. Hampton worked at Live Nation in Philadelphia, booking theatres, clubs and arenas in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Mr. Hampton also served as president of New Jersey-based Max Cruise Entertainment, a promotions company that ran the successful Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey and California. Mr. Hampton began his career in 1996 when he formed his own independent promotions company to book theatres and clubs in Philadelphia. He brings to the Northeast office strong relationships and extensive knowledge of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware markets. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
