AEG Looks To Develop Office & Studio Space In LA

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — AEG is looking for permission from the city to double the foot print of a project under consideration adjacent to their L.A. Live entertainment complex in downtown Los Angeles.

The site, dubbed "Olympic North", would feature a total of 600,000 square feet of space for offices and broadcast studios.

"As we have continued to redefine our vision for L.A. Live, we realized in speaking with developers and hotel operators that there is definitely a need for more office space, including broadcast studio space," AEG spokesman Michael Roth told blogger Eric Richardson.

The site had previously been planned for 200,000 square feet of hotel space, which will remain in the plan but AEG now hopes to add 332,618 square feet of general office space and 269,182 square feet for broadcast studios.

While Roth would not comment on possible tenants, he did note that the changes were in response to discussions that indicated "real interest." Richardson reported. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
