AEG Pulls Big Numbers For Puyallup Fair

Seattle, WA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The decision by the Western Washington Fair Association to have AEG Live handle their booking duties for the Puyallup Fair and its Columbia Bank Concert Series appears to have paid off. This year's lineup generated the highest revenue ever for the fair, with ticket sales realizing more than $2.1 million in gross revenue. The lineup for this year's series was diverse and catered to a variety of demographics by incorporating a number of different genres, including what The News Tribune called "some of the biggest names in popular music."

The 2008 Puyallup Fair featured several sold-out shows, including performances from Kid Rock and Carrie Underwood, as well as strong crowds for artists such as Chris Cagle, Fergie, and Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman. Since AEG Live began booking entertainment for the Puyallup Fair in 2007, the concert series has experienced a significant increase in ticket revenues.

"As one of the largest concert promoters in the world, AEG Live is proud to be able to provide some of the best talent in the business," reports Alex Kochan, VP Northwest, AEG Live. "This year’s success has demonstrated the positive impact that AEG Live’s partnership with the Puyallup Fair has continued to hold on the grandstand concert series." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
