LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — AEG Facilities is teaming up with Pogoseat to offer mobile seat and VIP upgrade technology at select concerts and/or live events at AEG Facilities' owned and/or managed venues.
Pogoseat's technology will allow fans to use the AXS Mobile App to see upgrade options before and during select events at the participating venues, and upgrade their seats from current inventory whle at the event. Once the new tickets are selected and the upgrade purchase is complete, they will receive their new tickets on their phone and can move to their new seats. The price for the old seat is refunded to the credit card used to purchase it.
In addition to allowing venues to monetize unused inventory, artists will be able to use the platform to offer their fans VIP experiences which will also be available to purchase via the AXS app. The VIP packages will be customizable to each artist and/or venue and can range from autographed merchandise to meet-and-greet opportunities with the artist or similar offerings.
The Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California, and Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will be the first venues to offer upgrades for their live events, launching at Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on June 8th and James Taylor on June 18th, respectively.
