Buddy Lee Attractions has launched a Contemporary Christian/Gospel music division. Heading up the new department is 25-year industry veteran Mark Perthel, a former tour accountant for such groups as The Police, U2, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Ozzy Osbourne and Rod Stewart.
Perthel further worked as a concert promoter with Beach Club Concerts and Kaleidoscope Concerts, later becoming head of entertainment for Six Flags theme parks corporate offices, developing all the programming within the Contemporary Christian and gospel formats; concert increased in that genre by more than 40 percent. Perthel also served as talent buyer for Walt Disney World Orlando and head of talent acquisition for SMG's 86 North American arenas.
"With the combined strength of BLA's agents and Mark's knowledge of this musical format, success is imminent," said BLA's Tony Conway and Joey Lee.
In addition, Perthel will spearhead Mainstage Productions, a division of BLA, in creating "turnkey" events for various talent projects.
In related news, BLA has signed Carman as its first artist in the new division.
We feel that Carman is the perfect artist to establish our new division," said Conway, "and plan to announce other clients in the next few weeks."
Tony Ciulla Leaves Spivak Sobol Entertainment
After a couple of weeks of joining Spivak Sobol Entertainment, Tony Ciulla has left and reformed his old management company Posthuman Entertainment. He is the responsible manager for Marilyn Manson and Abandoned Pools.

Agent Tom Baggott has left Skyline Music to restart thebookingagency.com, which he operated for seven years prior to joining Skyline in March 2002. Baggott brings with him Tim Reynolds and Peter Prince and has added Cyro Baptista & Beat The Donkey and Concentric to his roster.
"It's good to be on my own again," says Baggott. "I have a style and a philosophy that wasn't working well at Skyline. I will once more focus a lot of energy on artist development, which is something I have a passion for.
