Aiken Reschedules First Three Dates Of Tour

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Clay Aiken has postponed the first three shows of “The Joyful Noise Tour” due to illness.

The American Idol finalist was expected to kick off his tour on November 21 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium but doctors advised against it. His website reported that “Aiken has vocal cord damage resulting from ongoing ear and sinus infections and is being treated by his doctor.” The illness was further aggravated on a trip to New York to promote his new book, “Learning To Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life”.

Aiken was forced to cancel a performance at a gala benefit dinner for his Bubel/Aiken Foundation on Friday, November 19 and has rescheduled the first three dates of his tour as follows:

Nov. 21st (cancelled) – now Dec. 28 – Pasadena, CA

Nov. 22nd (cancelled) – now Dec. 29 – Phoenix, AZ

Nov. 23rd (cancelled) – now Dec. 30 – El Cajon, CA
