GLENDALE, AZ (CelebrityAccess) — Public assembly facility management company SMG announced that Andy Gorchov has been named as the new general manager for University of Phoenix Stadium, in sunny Glendale, Arizona.
The 72,200-capacity University of Phoenix Stadium serves as a home to the National Football League's Arizona Cardinals and provides an annual venue for the Fiesta Bowl. The stadium also hosts corporate events, concerts, consumer shows, rodeos and other entertainment offerings.
Prior to joining team SMG, Gorchov served as Project Director for stadium and arena construction specialists ICON Venue Group, overseeing the a comprehensive multi-year renovation of Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Before his stint at ICON, he was the General Manager of the of Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, in Denver. Prior to that he was the Director of Event Operations and then Director of Stadium Operations. – Staff Writers
