Arcade Fire To Receive International Achievement Award At The Junos

TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) confirmed today that Arcade Fire will be recognized with The Juno International Achievement Award at the Juno Gala Dinner & Awards Presented by SOCAN, and will perform on CBC-TV’s broadcast of the 47th annual Juno Awards on Sunday, March 25.

The Juno International Achievement Award recognizes Canadian artists who have achieved exemplary success on a global scale. With nine Juno Awards, one Grammy Award and two BRITs, Arcade Fire will receive one of the highest honors awarded by CARAS.

Arcade Fire will join the ranks of previous recipients, Bryan Adams, Alanis Morissette, Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Sarah McLachlan, and Drake.

Arcade Fire leads the pack of this year’s nominees with four nominations: Album of the Year, Group of the Year, Alternative Album of the Year, and Single of the Year Sponsored for their hit single “Everything Now” and album of the same name.

“One of the best live shows that traveled across North America last year was Arcade Fire’s Infinite Content tour and we are excited to have them bring it to the Juno stage,” said Allan Reid, President, and CEO, CARAS. “We are also thrilled to recognize Arcade Fire with the International Achievement Award. From Funeral to Everything Now they have inspired us not only through their music but also through their social activism.”

The 2018 JUNO Awards Broadcast is produced by Insight Productions in association with CBC and CARAS. Executive Producers are John Brunton for Insight Productions, Allan Reid and Mark Cohon for CARAS, and Lindsay Cox of Insight Productions is executive producer and supervising producer.
