Aretha Leaves WMA For ICM


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Aretha Franklin, a longtime client of the William Morris Agency has split with the firm and taken up with rival agency ICM.

The iconic R&B singer will rely upon Steve Levine at ICM for representation in all areas of her career, including the development of a biographical film about of her life, which is currently in development. The film will likely feature Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey among other luminaries.

Franklin has garnered 17 Grammys in her long career and most recently released an album of duets called "Jewels in the Crown: All-Star Duets With the Queen." The Aretha & Fantasia single "Put You Up On Game," has been charting on Billboard for 5 weeks. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
