At the Drive In Will Be a New PBS Fundraiser

"At the Drive In" is a forthcoming PBS fundraising music special that is all about good times and good tunes from the 1950's and early 1960's. The show will be taped in the 3,000 seat Bass Hall at the University of Texas Performing Arts Center in Austin, TX on August 6
and will air nationwide on PBS in December.

Headlining the show will be Jan & Dean in their TV farewell performance together. Hosted by Fabian, other co-stars include Bobby
Vee, The Surfaris, The Rip Chords, Ray Peterson, Dodie Stevens and her daughter Stephanie, The Orlons, Merrilee Rush, Chris Montez, and a special tribute to Rick Nelson by his twin sons Matthew and Gunnar.

The staff is comprised of Terry Lickona, producer of Austin City Limits for 28 ears, Roy Hammond, long time executive producer at WLIW TV in New York, and veteran classic rock agent and producer Bill Hollingshead as talent coordinator.–edited by Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
