NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — American rapper, singer and songwriter Azaelia Banks, who first made a name for herself releasing music through MySpace, has announced that she is quitting social media 'for good.'
In a post on her Facebook page earlier this month, Banks wrote:
I'm seriously tired of peoples (SIC) feelings. I'm tired of seeing their overly sensitive reactions and responses to everything. I'm tired of having everything I say or do be monitored and I'm tired of being told how I should be behaving.
I'm quitting Facebook, and any other form of social media that allows me to engage with people.
My legacy can't live and die on the Internet.
Goodbye.
For good.
Banks was suspended from Twitter in May, several days after she used the service for a racist and homophobic rant against former One Direction member Zayn Malik. She later offered an apology to anyone who might have been offended by her remarks but stopped short of actually apologizing for said remarks. – Staff Writers
