Bassist Wants To Re-Join Queens Of The Stone Age

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — After resolving differences with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, former bassist Nick Oliveri has offered to rejoin the group.

Homme kicked Oliveri out of the band at the end of a non-stop two-year tour to support the Queens of the Stone Age album “Songs For The Deaf,” calling Oliveri a “tornado” in the media. Homme recorded QOTSA’s entire new album, “Lullabies To Paralyze,” without Oliveri’s help. Dan Druff, the band’s former guitar tech, replaced him on bass.

Oliveri’s own band, Mondo Generator, will be releasing an album at the end of April.

Queens of the Stone Age will be touring Europe in May with the group Turbonegro. Oliveri contributed his vocals to the song “The Final Warning” for the new Turbonegro album. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
