Beck Wins Grammy For Album Of The Year

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — While British signer Sam Smith had a big night at the Grammy Awards, Beck took home top honors, winning Album of the Year and Best Rock Album.

While Beck was accepting the award for the top prize, Kanye moved to join him on stage, playfully alluding to his now infamous Taylor Swift moment at the 2009 VMAs, when he tried to share Swift's moment in the sun. To his credit, Beck played along, telling Kanye, "I need some help. Come back!"

"We made this record at my house for the most part so I'd like to thank my kids for letting me keep them awake a little bit extra longer," Beck added.

Smith won the award for best new artist, song of the year for his hit "Stay with Me" and best pop vocal album for "In the Lonely Hour."

Beyoncé took home three Grammy awards, for best surround album and best R&B song and performance for Drunk in Love. This brings Beyonce up to 20 lifetime Grammy awards, passing Aretha Franklin as the second-most awarded female performer, behind Alison Krauss's seemingly insurmountable 27 lifetime Grammys.

Pharrell and Rosanne Cash also took home three Grammys each and Miranda Lambert took home the award for Best Country Album.
